Shoko is a graduate of University of British Columbia, completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Kinetics. She is also a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), graduating from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. Following her RMT degree, she went on to train and graduate from the Canadian School of Osteopathy Manual Practice (CSO) in Vancouver, B.C. She has an extensive skillset in osteopathy and massage therapy, as well as supportive skills in athletic training, taping, and exercise support. Shoko worked with the Canadian Women’s National Soccer Team from 2010 to 2014 as a member of the medical staff. Her travel with the team included the 2012 London Olympics, where the team won the bronze medal. She has also worked with the Canadian kendo team and the Japanese wheelchair rugby team. Shoko speaks fluent English and Japanese. Shoko has recently joined the progressive team at Restore Sports Medicine in Burnaby, B.C.
