Helen has recently moved to Port Moody from Toronto with over 13 years experience working in rehabilitation and wellness settings, with a variety of high performance teams and in private practice. Most recently she worked with Canada Women’s Soccer, supporting them through several World Cups and the 2016 Olympics in Rio. She is grateful for her career launch with the Toronto Argonauts, her work with Rugby Canada, University Sport, and her private practice clients. After completing her foundational education in Kinesiology and Athletic Therapy at York University, Helen volunteered in a children’s hospital in Nepal. Her time there continues to influence her practice through the strength and resilience of her clients. These experiences inspired Helen to approach rehabilitation from a holistic perspective, and by empowering her patients with her Wellness Coaching and Leadership skills. Most recently, Helen became a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) to broaden her treatment offerings to our community.

Helen is passionate about supporting others to maximize their quality of life, a process that starts with a conversation about the challenges, injuries, and personal hopes to help understand how to work together. After a thorough assessment, Helen’s holistic approach ranges from hands-on techniques and exercises, to more general sessions for recovery and relaxation. Some of her specific hands-on techniques include: Muscle energy, Craniosacral therapy, fascial stretching and release, Kinesiotaping, Swedish massage, and mobilizations.

An avid and lifelong learner, Helen approaches her personal health through meditation, exercise, and connecting in nature. She hopes to contribute meaningfully to the world of rehabilitation and health by connecting with individuals to help support them on their personal journeys.
